Welcome to the Pods…
One of my goals with my channel is to create a space where the community can get more involved with the content that I create. With The Sims 4 being a single player game, I’m always trying to think of fun and creative ways to incorporate my audience in the process and make it a collaborative experience. This is why I’ve decided to do Love is Blind in The Sims 4!
🌷 What does this mean?
If you haven’t already seen the show Love is Blind, the premise is essentially speed dating without being able to see the person that you’re speaking with, and deciding to start a marriage without bringing physical aspects into the process. We will be going through all the stages similar to the show, from speed dating to proposals, proposals to trial marriages, meeting the parents, having all sims meet each other from the pods, wedding planning, weddings and potentially a reunion once all has been said and done.
🌷 How can the community participate?
You can participate in the challenge by making a sim and uploading it to the gallery with the hashtag #AlluringLIB. You are able to make up to two sims and you must set likes, dislikes, and preferences for the sim. You also must make sure to write a description providing a backstory for your sim. Some things you should include in the backstory is their occupation, if they want kids, their dating history (briefly - like have they dated a lot, have they been married before, have they ever cheated, etc.), and any other information you think would be helpful to know. An added bonus would be if you make siblings, parents and/or friends for your sim that can be used for when the sims meet with family.
Another way you can participate is by being present in streams during the set up process as well as once we start the actual series. You can participate by voting in the polls on stream, giving input/suggestions for facilitating the challenge, or just by chatting/lurking during the streams. I plan to add channel point redemptions as well that can help determine the path we take with this series.
🌷 What are the current plans?
As of right now, I’m currently working on the build process of the pods themselves! I will be working on them online & offline and intend to complete it by May 3, 2025. In the meantime, consider to work on sims for submission and plan out your backstories. Once the series actually starts, the plan is to have VODs available on Youtube & Twitch (for a limited time) and then it will be cut down into short episodes to be watched all the way through.
